Spoon and Grain

Accessibility policy

Last updated: April 2025

Our commitment

Spoon and Grain is committed to making food knowledge accessible to everyone. We work to ensure that our site can be used by people with a wide range of abilities, including those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or magnification tools.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, where reasonably possible.

What we do

Readable text

We use sufficient font sizes, line spacing, and color contrast throughout the site.

Image descriptions

Images include descriptive alt text so screen reader users get the same information.

Keyboard navigation

The site can be navigated using a keyboard without requiring a mouse.

Clear structure

Articles use proper heading hierarchy so content is easy to scan and navigate.

Known limitations

While we work toward full accessibility, some parts of the site may not yet meet all WCAG 2.1 AA standards. This includes certain third-party content (such as embedded ads or external widgets) that we do not fully control.

We are actively working to identify and address accessibility gaps as we find them.

Report an issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on Spoon and Grain, we want to know. Send a description of the issue — including the page URL and what you were trying to do — to info@spoonandgrain.com.

We aim to respond within 5 business days and to resolve confirmed issues as quickly as possible.

Ongoing improvement

Accessibility is not a one-time task. We review and test our site periodically and update this policy when our practices change. If you have suggestions for how we can improve, we welcome them.

The best kitchen knowledge is the kind that sticks.
